We stand behind our work, and proudly offer a limited lifetime warranty on all of our residential organization systems, for as long as you live in your home. Simply put, we’ll repair or replace, at no charge, any defective item we build or provide. Following are the complete details of our warranty. We’ve also provided a short explanation, which is not legally binding.
Smart Closets warrants that the Products you purchased will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the normal lifetime of the Products when used for single-family residential use. Smart Closets will repair or replace any component of the Products you purchased at no charge, if it is defective, for as long as you live in your home. This limited warranty extends only to the original end user of the Products at the original location of installation listed on Smart Closets’ invoice, and is not transferable.
We will repair or replace, for free, anything we build or provide if you paid for it and it breaks.
Smart Closets warrants that the Products you purchased will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year when used for non-residential or commercial use. This limited warranty extends only to the original end user of the Products at the original location of installation listed on Smart Closets’ invoice, is not transferable, and goes into effect from the date of invoice.
Commercial use is generally tougher on our products so we limit our warranty to one (1) year when sold to a business.
Repair or replacement of any defective component of the Products you purchased is your sole and exclusive remedy. If Smart Closets does not repair or replace a defective component of the Products within one (1) year, its liability to you will be limited to the purchase price of the Products, excluding taxes.
Our maximum liability to you is the price you paid us, excluding taxes.
You will have waived any claim for breach of warranty if you do not notify Smart Closets in writing within 90 days after you discover a defect. This limited warranty does not cover costs for installation, removal or other labor costs in connection with repair or replacement of the Products when they are part of Smart Closets’ Select product line, and does not cover any defect arising from: (1) the improper use of the Products; (2) abuse, neglect, accident, or improper maintenance; or (3) normal wear and tear including imperfections which don’t impair the utility of the component. This limited warranty shall be void if: (1) Client fails to pay all agreed upon compensation to Smart Closets; or (2) Client has altered, moved or attempted to move any fixed part of the organization system installed by Smart Closets. CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, INDIRECT OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY DEFECT ARE NOT RECOVERABLE UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY.
Notify us within 90 days of discovering a defect. Labor costs aren’t covered for our Select product line. Normal wear and tear happens, only move or alter the adjustable shelves, and don’t swing on the doors.
THE LIMITED WARRANTY DESCRIBED ABOVE IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. PARTS OR WORKMANSHIP FOUND TO BE DEFECTED WILL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED WITH CURRENT COLORS OR HARDWARE. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND ANY RIGHTS OR OBLIGATIONS CONTAINED HEREIN MAY NOT BE ASSIGNED OR DELEGATED BY YOU, THE CLIENT, TO ANY THIRD PARTY. No person or entity can expand this limited warranty or waive any of its limitations. Misuse, abuse, neglect, and accidents (or other “acts of God”) will void this limited warranty.
This warranty is for you and only you. No one may add to or change this warranty. Stuff happens – it’ll void this warranty.
